Today I am determined to get back on track with my training. I originally had a goal of running the Gulf Coast Half Marathon in October but I don’t know if I will be ready to run a half by then.
My training has been spotty. The heat is a biotch. My health issues are flaring up again.
I am full of excuses.
I don’t need anyone to point that out. I know. I am my own worst critic. Hopefully laying this out in black and white will get me past this excuses phase and moving on to a consistent training regimen.
The sad thing is that I love to run. I love to swim.
So why do I make excuses not to?
As a reminder, I am posting a picture from my triathlon earlier this year. So. Much. Fun.
Today I hit the pool and got in about 1300 meters. It’s a great start and I feel so much better for it.
Maybe the key is that I don’t have any race entries on the books? I need to work on that this week.
